UPDATE: The product pages have now been taken down.
EB Games Australia has listed some Nintendo Switch accessories on its website, and one of them seems to reveal that the system will have USB-C type charging.
Australian gamers can pre-order an “extra long 3m charging cable” for $19.95 on EB Games’ website.
The product description states that the wire is a “USB-A to USB-C Charging Cable compatible with the Nintendo Switch Console”. This seemingly reveals that the system (and maybe the Pro Controllers) will use USB-C type charging.
The LG G5 and HTC 10 smartphones are already using USB-C, which is said to be much faster than other types of connectors. The latest Macbook Pro also makes use of it.
USB-C allows for fast charging, amongst other things.
It would make sense for Nintendo’s Switch to have it, too, as it is widely seen to be the port of the future.
