THQ Nordic’s newly-acquired IP “well-suited for the Nintendo audience”

It seems like THQ Nordic may soon be working on a third Nintendo Switch project.

Two mere days after revealing that it currently had two Switch games in development, the Austrian publisher announced today that it acquired the rights to the Sphinx (and the Cursed Mummy), War Leaders and Legends of War franchises.

THQ Nordic’s founder and CEO, Lars Wingefors, then said in a press release that “Sphinx is very well-suited for the Nintendo audience” and that he and his company are excited” for the platform.

The original Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy was released in 2003 on PS2, Xbox and GameCube. There hasn’t been a sequel to this third-person action-adventure game, and it seems like the wait for it may soon be over.
