If a recent report is to be believed, the Nintendo Switch will have a better battery life than many of us expected, considering its screen size and power.

NateDrake, a reliable leaker on popular gaming forum NeoGaf, revealed today that the Nintendo Switch’s battery should last anywhere in between five to eight hours.

He also added that the final Switch development kits were sent out to developers in mid-November.

Just for comparison’s sake, here’s a list of all handheld consoles’ battery life since the Game Boy Advance SP. Some of them have a big discrepancy because of various sound and brightness settings.

Nintendo DSi   3-14 hours
