Expect to see Nintendo Switch advertising at a GameStop near you as soon as next week.
GoNintendo reported today that a “reliable source” over at GameStop US informed them that stores will begin receiving Switch promotional material from Nintendo as soon as 2017 begins. There are no restrictions as far as when to display the advertising, so stores can put it up as soon as they get their hands on it.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild pre-orders will also “officially” be under way at GameStop starting next week, according to a memo sent to stores by Nintendo. Maybe this means that we will be getting word on Zelda’s release date sooner than we think.
GoNintendo also mentioned that the GameStop location their source is from will be combining its Wii U and 3DS sections to free up space for Switch-related products. It is uncertain if this applies to all stores or only to that particular one.
Expect more details about pre-ordering the system and its games at Nintendo’s Switch Presentation January 12th.
