Zelda: Breath of the Wild will “100% make launch in North America”

Laura Kate Dale, who first reported that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild would miss Switch launch, is now “100%” confident that the game will be releasing alongside the system in North America.

She claims to have seen “finalized [promotional] materials” for Breath of the Wild and that it will no doubt be the Switch’s flagship launch title.

This makes total sense, considering recent clues that point towards a March release. In-store Switch advertising features photos of Zelda, and the game’s strategy guide is already being produced. This doesn’t necessarily mean that Breath of the Wild will make launch in Europe, though.

Laura Kate Dale has previously said that the game would be delayed in Europe because localization/translation was taking longer than expected.

We should be hearing more about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s release date at Nintendo’s Switch Presentation on January 12th.

  1. I would love to see Breath of the Wild available at launch. If this is true, I would imagine Nintendo will announce it next week (as you stated) during the presentation. Some sort of bundle with the Switch, Breath, and a pro controller (if that’s what it’s called) would be great to see, also.
