Finding a Switch at launch may prove to be difficult

Nintendo Switch pre-orders are right around the corner, and a new report suggests that finding a system at launch may prove to be difficult.

GoNintendo stated on Twitter that according to their sources, the minimum allotment of Switch consoles for American GameStop stores is 20, and the maximum is 30. Rural gamers may be in luck, then.

Obviously, this isn’t even close to being as bad of a situation as we saw at the Wii’s launch, but it would probably be a good idea to pre-order a Switch to ensure that you get your hands on one in March.

Considering Nintendo’s inability to keep up with demand for the NES Classic or Amiibo, it wouldn’t be surprising to not see regular restocks at the beginning of the console’s lifespan.

  1. I’m going to attempt to preorder from Amazon, we’ll see how that goes. Yes, I’m pretty much committed to getting one – recent rumors suggest the price will be reasonable.
